Our story began in Welkom in 2001, our goal was simple, make the best bread and confectionary that would be enjoyed by our locals and our immediate neighbours. As the demand for our products grew so also our vision had to grow. Today we work with organisations of all sizes, from small business owners, caterers and foodservice companies.

Our highly trained staff demonstrate due diligence in all aspects of our baked production and distribution, helping to create baked products of exceptional quality that far exceed the requirements of our customers and consumers.

Like all successful organisations, Thabong Bakery came to life with a simple vision.
With unparalleled local knowledge and years of insight into the shortfalls within the bakery and confectionary environment, a niche opportunity emerged to provide premium baked products that were competitively priced, readily available and tasty.

Since our inception, we have prioritised quality products, best practice, good governance and healthy customer relations. We are proud and grateful to be an African-owned bakery of choice, with a broad client base from larger organisations to smaller businesses.
